STREDA

STREDA combines electricity with data in one cable, using polymer optical fiber (POF). This allows high speed data throughout the entire house, and the exchangeable snap-in electrical outlets allow users to change the functionality of their outlets easily. Due to the pluggable cables, the system is easily applied in prefabricated houses.

I’m responsible for the research and development of the plastics of multiple new products. This means keeping contact with experts/stakeholders, a lot of prototyping, and testing the products for safety norms. I developed a new ceiling unit for mounting lamps and I researched the development of a new connector, coupler and installation box.
